Essay Comperrrison

      Young Goodman Brown and The poem Dream within a Dream are similar, both authors use the ideas of dreaming to make us think it’s real by expressing there feelings in the words. One difference is that one is a story talking about if Young Goodman Brown was dreaming or not and the poem talks about dreaming in a shorter version . Also, Young Goodman Brown talks about having faith while the poem talks about time . They both make dreams sound real by expressing and telling is what’s going on and at the end leaving us with the doubt if it was or wasn’t a dream . Young Goodman Brown happens in the forest while the poem talks about being in sand .
      The Authors use the idea of dreaming to make us think of what’s real by using imagery because they want us to imagine what they’re dreaming about. Also, so we can feel what they’re feeling by how they’re telling the story or poem . They put a picture in your mind to make you believe or give you an idea that makes it feel real . Sometimes we dream and the dream becomes true which also gives us an idea of how they use it to make us feel it’s real. When we dream of something it makes us feel something which feels like it’s real.
       The elements I see in both pieces is that they both talk about dreams. The difference I see in them is that the poem kind of talks about in a beach and the story talks about being in the forest. Also, ones a short and the story is long . They also , one of them talks about faith and hope and the other one about time. But both stories have many things in similar and different.

Response on A Dream Within A Dream

My response on A Dream Within A Dream is that I don’t understand how it began by saying about a kiss upon the brow and ending about holding onto the golden sand .
